Mario Basanov & Vidis ft. Jazzu – “I’ll Be Gone” [VIDEO]

Sick track coming at you from Lithuania accompanied by an amazingly designed video. All around great art here with this song. Enjoy and also check out their site for more music.

Introducing… Pretty Lights [MUSIC]

What an absolutely ridiculous beat by Pretty Lights on this track here. Coming off their newest album, “Glowing In The Darkest Night” you get are instantly blown away by the heavy dub tones. Please visit their site to download the album. I’m really diggin the opener of the album, “Still Night”, enjoy:

Claw + Richie August = HULK – Ol Dirty Bastard – Brooklyn Zoo (Hulkstep Remix) – Dubstep

Claw alone is sick

Chasing Status – Easter Ham (Claws Rum N Ass Vip)

But add Richie August and it gets even better.

Left Hand Guitar Mechanics – Guideline

This is a really good guideline for beginners, or sloppy people.

left hand guitar technique

Mediocre guitar mechanics:
fingers are slanted or angled and not perpendicular to the fretboard. Could cause for buzzing strings or misfretting.
Better left hand technique:
fingers are rounded and tips are close to perpendicular to the fretboard.

Introducing… Incan Abraham [MUSIC]

Just found these guys on reddit, coming from Los Angeles, Incan Abraham was just featured on NPR.org today for “Song Of The Day”. They incorporate beautifully cloudy background harmonics to join the trippy rhythms and beatlesque breakdowns. Such a fun classic rock feel you’ll forget what era they really come from!!! Amazing stuff and we are really looking forward to hearing some more work from Incan Abraham in the near future.

They are currently promoting their new 4 track EP, “ADULT WORLD”, which you can download for FREE here. Here is the track “Hors D’oeuvres”

Frogs Gone Fishin’ – [Band Review]

Frogs Gone Fishin’ is a band that relies solely on harmonies, melody, and dynamic rhythms to keep their fan base constantly growing. The 4-piece band from Colorado plays over 160 live shows a year and their hard work and dedication to music is definitely paying off.  With diversity in their song choices and set lists, you are in for an amazing show and music experience each time Frogs jump onto the stage.

This band is young and talented and only getting better. After listening to their album, anyone would be excited to hear this band live.  The blended melodies keep each song unique and the listener wanting more.  If you have a chance to catch Frogs Gone Fishin’ on the road, I promise you will not be disappointed.

For more music and show dates, head over to their MySpace Page.  You can also find band information on their Website.

Brendan Mulligan from ArtistData is giving away 2 free passes to this years San Francisco Music Tech Summit. Here’s his letter below:

“This note is going out to all ArtistData users to spread the word that I’m giving away tickets to the MusicTech Summit in San Francisco next Monday! If you would like to go, or know someone that would, please read on and forward this along:

About 6 months ago I wrote a post called The Importance of the San Francisco MusicTech Summit. It’s as relevant today as the day I wrote it. I still believe this is the best conference out there for people interested in exploring the intersection of music and technology. Read my original post to understand why.

Well, next week is the next SF MusicTech, and it’s the best yet. The sponsors, speakers, and schedule are incredibly strong.

I’m excited to be moderating the kickoff discussion in the main room in the morning on the topic of “Engaging Your Community” with some fantastic panelists from Facebook, Bandzoogle, Headliner.fm, Indaba, and the author of Marketing Lessons from the Grateful Dead.

To celebrate, I’m giving away two FREE passes (valued at $600 at the door!). I’ll be picking two people at random who do one of the following things:

  1. Post this to your Twitter account: “Want to go to next Monday’s #sfmusictech in San Francisco for FREE? @bmull is giving 2 passes away here: http://bit.ly/bmSFmt” – Click here to easily share on twitter
  2. Post a comment to this article answering the question “What questions / concerns do you have about engaging your community online?” I’ll be using all the questions to add to the panel conversation. Not required, but appreciated if you click “Post comment to Twitter” when commenting to spread the conversation. Make sure to include your Twitter account so I can get in touch with you.

If you enter, follow me on twitter here so I can DM you if you win!

Good luck! This will run through Wednesday Dec 1 at 5 PM PST. I’ll notify winners that night and post the results to an updated version of this post.

If you have any questions or comments, please don’t reply to this email. Instead, reach out on Twitter and I’ll get right back to you.

Brenden ”
