Jack Beats – “Elevator Music” [MUSIC]

jack beats all night

Jack Beats is typically out there and very creative but ‘Elevator Music’ just takes that vibe to the next level with all sorts of new and innovative tones. If you listen closely towards the end you’ll even notice the stroke of some pots and pans thrown in the mix. This one is definitely a shoe in for the Friday List and should get your blood flowing for some intense Raging. Thanks to Cheap Thrills Records you can gladly download the track off their soundcloud page.

Big Gigantic – “A Place Behind The Moon” [ALBUM]

Some serious experimental electronic music coming out of mountainous Colorado region these days, and I must say that Big Gigantic are placing themselves quickly at the top. Put it this way, right after the smooth sounding 2 min intro you are completely blown away with this jam entitled, “Sky High”

These guys will literally add any sound from anywhere which is what sets the apart from the majority of electronic music today. Their openness to new sounds is really something else and pretty surprising at times when I find myself listening to hiphop beats with 8-bit background rhythms and jazzy saxophone melodies to top it all off. ‘A Place Behind The Moon’ is their most recent release which can be downloaded for free at their website here. ‘Solitude’ just lays it all out there for ya:

DJ Funafuji – “Zulu Chamber” [MUSIC]

DJ Funafuji is one of the leaders of the dubstep movement here in South Africa.  Together with Ish, she is one of the organizers of Step Up, a premiere dubstep night at Fiction in Cape Town, which began in 2008. Her sound outside of the Step Up dance-floor often moves away from just Dubstep to include Drum n Bass, Hip-Hop, Dancehall, Funk-Soul and local Glitch-Hop.  When Safiyya Bryce isn’t busy spinning vinyl this multi-talented artist is completing her fourth year of medical school!  Talk about a Renaissance woman. Check out her latest track “Zulu Chamber” to dance along to the double-time rhythms of the modern-bass music.

Burial – “EGO” feat. Thom Yorke and Four Tet [MUSIC]

burial

Soooo glad I ran into this track here. Thom Yorke of Radiohead teams up with UK 2-step/grudge producer Burial, and Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet, on a new project released this month. Definitely going for that club sound on this track with the laid back house beat being melodically guided by the easily recognized vocals of Thom Yorke. Once you’ve had about 10 listens of this hit visit here for the other release entitled, “Mirror”.

Mord Fustang – “The Electric Dream” [MUSIC]

So far there isn’t much to here from Mord Fustang, having only 2 tracks under this artist name the people are really pushing for an EP release ASAP. This song absolutely kills it and obviously going on the FRIDAY LIST. I honestly thought it was Deadmau5 at first because of all the sound influences used but now I’m moving towards Mord Fustang taking on the role of The Estonian Deadmau5. There is no doubt in my mind that these two will be rivaling DJs in the upcoming years. As for now, you have TWO WHOLE TRACKS to listen to for the next who knows. Lets hope for something new soon, ENJOY:

Hoodie Allen – “You Are Not A Robot” [VIDEO]

Droppin’ the new official music video for Hoodie Allen’s most recent track, “You Are Not A Robot”. Just a disgusting beat on this track with really sick dub influences in the background of the hook bringing a whole other level of creativity. Along with having amazing music, you can download this track along with all his others for FREE on his Facebook page. Gotta show love to those artists that love their fans by giving back.

NERO – Me And You [VIDEO]

Bumpin’ club track combining hiphop, house, and dubstep for a sensational sound is NERO out of London, U.K. This new track just released for sale on iTunes last week so please check it out. To view more music by NERO click the image above.
