Te’ V. Smith – “Decline of The Diaspora” [FREE DOWNLOAD]

This is an instant hit from Te’ V and we are more than pleased to have the privilege to offer it as a FREE Download for everyone. His creative style brings an outstanding look into music composition and the intricacies of poetry and spoken word. Please take this track share it with all your friends and family on all your networks, and be on the look out for the release of a new album he has been hard at work on. We had the chance to sit down with Te’ a few months ago in Philadelphia to discuss the working of his new album. He made a very strong point to collaborate with all types of musicians from the US, Europe, and Africa. This is going to be an EPIC album and a whole new beginning for the on going success of Te’ V. On Work – Kahlil Gibran

This was Tupac’s favorite poet. Since reading this poem he has become my new favorite poet. I thought I’d share this one because it’s very relevant to this blog’s topics, messages, and missions.

The River Flows – Poem by Dante Carmelo Cullari

As time it turns
the river flows
a destined dawn
approaches
silent sprouting up
a well of hope
throughout the river rising
Often found to be
a bumpy sea
the gaze that strains a day
and only eagles’ eyes
can see the prize
that lay ahead and wait

Why Not Try? – A Poem by Dante Carmelo Cullari Written: 3/12/2010

Why Not Try?

What if everything you wanted was here?

What if everything you needed was there?

What if there was nothing left to get?

Would you still care?

What if your thoughts were really real?

What if the darkness made you feel: alive…infinite…vast?

The endless possibilities.

What if the light were always right?

What if you still can’t see your light?

What if you never had a dream?

What if your life was in between?

Why not try?

Warm Winter Day – A Poem by Dante Carmelo Cullari

Warm Winter Day

As the leaves blow by,
The sky’s eye changes colors;
image of the heavens; butterfly, fly by;
picture of the mind;
rewinds time, reminds time,
of simple days;
the simple rays, of light,
taking flight, through the enormous mountains of the sky,
til it reaches a passer by,
who wonders,
“When?”

I wrote this poem when I was 16. I can remember it being fall and me looking outside and seeing the leaves blow around, and this popped into my head. I think I wrote it on a napkin at my kitchen table, it hit me that fast. Why I named it Warm Winter Day I have no idea, but it turned out we actually had a couple pretty warms days that year, right around Christmas. Funny how stuff like that works out.

I’ve had this poem published and have won an award for it. It’s definitely one of my favorites. I write a lot of poetry. If I get a good response I may post more in the future. Thanks for listening!
