Alright everyone I apologize for not throwing this track on the last Weeknd post for “Rolling Stone” but it really deserves it’s own glory as most of his songs do. So along with this latest release of “The Noise” we’ve dug deeper on understanding the man behind the growing genius of R&B soul. It had come to my attention that Drake… That’s right DRAKE had been promotin’ the shit out of this cat on his blog since he dropped House Of Balloons. At first it seemed like a respect thing just showin’ some love for a clearly amazing album release, but it was a bit deeper than that. ‘The Noise’ happens to be a later track that Abel Tesfaye aka The Weeknd ghostwrote for Drake in 2009. I was wondering how this guy was blowing up so quickly. It’s great to have great friends! Can’t wait to hear more from this crew.
The Weeknd just dropped his latest tracks on youtube last week and for some reason it has been removed because it violates Youtubes Terms and Services!!!! DUMB!!! Thanks to soundcloud we were able to grab the original version of this instant acoustic-vibin’ hit brought to you by 2011’s top R&B artist. Definitely staying consistent with his quality continually raising the bar higher and higher for himself. Here is “Rolling Stone”
So we finally got ahold of that track, but that’s not all that’s going on in the music world of The Weeknd. Since his infamous release of House Of Balloons earlier this year, many fans have been comprising music videos for the artist to show there never-ending support. Some videos weren’t really recognized by the Weeknd but others kindly caught his graces such as the most recent release for his track “Wicked Games”. Directed by Storm Saulter
So people are always talking about what’s hot right now in the R&B and soul game and honestly haven’t had too many people I’m proud to just spurt out like The_Weeknd. After playing his first album, about 21 times, it was definitely time to spread the love for this Toronto based independent artist and SHARE SHARE SHARE!!!
House Of Balloons has that old school soul vibe that everyone was bumpin’ during the 90s like it was going out of style. The only difference here is the incredible use of modern technology to perfect this sensational recording quality. It’s that new old soul! The best part is one I’ve been saving for the end of this post and that is to inform everyone that you can just simply Click Here for a FREE Download of the entire album.
One other thing that’s totally worth noting about this group. This is their first album and you can find it EVERYWHERE!!! Gotta give credit where credit is due, and these cats threw down a legit online marketing campaign for this album and definitely set up real nice to drop anything further with large following on all networks. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Youtube, and Soundcloud.

This week’s list has got a little bit of everything, but all the songs are really good. There’s a couple reggae joints in here too. No particular order. Check em out, and enjoy!
P.S. If you like a song, don’t hesitate to leave a comment for the artist telling them where you found them. Most of these artists are not very well known and I’m sure they’ll be interested to see how their music is spreading. Thanks!
