Treehouse – “Pocket Life” [MUSIC]

Not too sure how I let these guys slip by there but it may have something to do with this hip-hop trios limited track selection, keeping them a hidden gem in the independent hip-hop community. Treehouse‘s first track released early February of 2011 and really set the tone of originality holding an old-soul jazz feel native to their Chicago, IL roots. Their have been some hints towards an album release with shouts of recording sessions in the works, so lets hope to see something late this year! So kick-back and get a glimpse of the “Pocket Life”

To help back that previous statement concerning a possible album drop in the near future, Treehouse just recently released a new single entitled “Ana”. Apparently this one is ‘in ode to a fine Spanish chika named ‘Ana”. Simple enough… Let’s hear what they have to say!

Fredrik – “Rites Of Spring” [MUSIC]

It seems like a solid ninety percent of the artists I’ve been finding so far this year are from Sweden. They are really making a huge name for themselves in the independent music world along with developing a very large following in the US. This Swedish trio has that more experimental electronic style with a mellow background accompanied by soft melodies and vocals. Here is one of their more recent tracks, “Rites Of Spring”. Thieves Like Us – “Never Known Love” [FREE DOWNLOAD]

Coming off of their newest album, “Again and Again”, this French pop trio has released the single “Never Known Love” for FREE here. These guys keep it cool with their mellow bass lines and uplifting melodies. The vocals and synths give them a Phoenix sort of feel.

YELLE – “Safari Disco Club” [MUSIC]

This French musician/producer trio, Yelle, has had some pretty great success with their creative club sound. Here is a look at the most recent single to be on their newest album set to release in March of this year.
